I. Project Background
The 4th Line of Jinan Rail Transit (with a total length of approximately 40.2 km and 33 stations) needs to establish a highly reliable communication network between stations and the control center. The requirements are as follows:
Simultaneously transmit 1080P surveillance video, broadcast audio, and emergency intercom signals
Satisfy the tunnel environment with severe electromagnetic interference (contact wire voltage 1500V)
Comply with the "GB/T 7424-2008" standard for rail transit optical cables
II. Solution
The optical transceiver for rail transit developed by our company is adopted. The highlights are as follows:
Customized design
Deploy 2 19-inch rack-mounted optical transceivers at each station (with hot backup for primary and secondary)
Support mixed transmission of 8 video channels + 16 audio channels + 4 E1 channels
Built-in surge protection module (impact withstand voltage ≥ 6kV)
III. Implementation Results
Key Indicators
PQS score for video transmission ≥ 4.5 (MOS standard)
No operational interruption events caused by optical links throughout the year
